Used Mac MDM check before you buy

A used Mac can look clean in setup and still deserve a local management check. MDM Liberator looks for local profiles, certificates, managed preferences, supervision context, and enrollment traces. ABM/ADE assignment is different: it is server-side and must be released through the seller, organization, or Apple-supported records.

What to do

  • Run the free local checker before final acceptance when possible.
  • Save the scan output with the date, macOS version, and seller listing.
  • Ask for written confirmation that ABM/ADE assignment has been released.
  • Treat the local scan as supporting documentation, not as proof of ownership or ABM/ADE release.
